The part of this series of Lexus badge-570-has to do with the engine displacement, but the most significant number of this giant line Lexus is 6206. This is the poundage of this poshed-up Toyota Land Cruiser . And while the description sounds dismissive, slimming LX570 is very elegant, in fact, by far the strongest point of this Big Bopper. Other elements of the experience of power, coupled, dynamic driving behavior is not so nice.
The Basics: As noted, the LX is basically a truck, sharing their table with the Toyota Tundra and the Land Cruiser. The body is married to the table at the end of the assembly process. Frame construction has a reputation for ruggedness among off-roaders and truckers; a structure of this type, in general, has been able to absorb more than a monoblock punishment, in particular in pathless. This is becoming moot, as unibody vehicles have grown harder and harder, but traditionalists maintain the principle.
Although this is the LX heftiest found that in eight years of the model, even mechanically is what we tested in 2008, except that the automatic gearbox eight relations now offers, instead of six. What attracts people to the LX is creamy ride quality (with adaptive suspension), the audio system 19 speakers Mark Levinson sublime ($ 2,350), and luxury interior. They are also standard leather, high-quality sound (this replaces the LX Levinson option), a choice of four real wood, heated and ventilated front seats, seats electrical adjustment of the second row and the seats of the third row of fold power.
Connectivity and Infotainment are updated periodically throughout the extended life cycle of the LX570. The joint venture now has a large touch screen (12.3 inches) Center, navigation with voice command, Bluetooth, eyes-free Siri, and the Suite Lexus Enform App. Technology driver assistance adaptive includes cruise control with automatic braking emergency, pedestrian detection, camera surround view of 360 degrees, a head-up display and park assist. These are also available in the Land Cruiser, however, that weighs 280 pounds less and is rated to tow 8100 pounds.
Last year, Lexus sold only LX570s 3884 in the United States, down 168 2014 (Land Cruiser sales were even lower in 2687.) Cadillac Escalade sold 21,230 and 15,000 with another extended version ESV inside the volume-while rivaling LX570’s Land Rover has found buyers for almost 18,000 Range Rovers. In 2008, it was noted that despite their high prices and heavy dynamic, owners still swear by their LX570s. Does this update to keep them happy legalistic?
The previous generation of Land Cruiser platform / LX570 been in service for a decade, so it could be at least two years before we see an all-new. Toyota is almost certain that the development of a new Land Cruiser due to global demand for its combination of size and off-road capability, but there is to know about the business case for increasing sales of Lexus adds version. Maybe it depends on the profit margins, which should be as robust as the LX570 has.
