2016 BMW X6 M is one of those vehicles that do not need to be, but thank God it does. There is no reason why anyone should have a crossover SUV on a running track, even when it has the sloping roof of the X6, but this high-performance M version would feel at home with equally generous measure speed and composure.
The X6 M is not here for trouble of two to four feet from Home Depot. Instead, your task is to deliver a clever combination of driving high style and incredible performance. Whereas the X5 M looks like a regular SUV on steroids, the X6 M is like something from a science fiction movie – and moves like it.
USB Bluetooth functionality improved and are now standard, providing a voice control for contacts and music, office functions (text, e-mail, calendar, tasks, and voice memo) and the ability to synchronize a second smartphone.
A 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 develops 567 horsepower and 553 Nm of torque. The gearbox is an 8-speed automatic with paddle levers (for manual control option) and all-wheel drive is standard.
According to the Environmental Protection Agency, the fuel consumption is estimated at 14 miles per gallon in town, 19 mpg on the highway and 16 mpg combined.
